The Reeds Fam | Jensen Botanical Garden

One of my favorite parts of my job is watching little families grow, especially families like Michael and Marcie's. I had the pleasure of taking Michael and Marcie's very first photo together on one of their early dates, which was on the 4th of July. Since then, I've had the joy of capturing their engagement, wedding, maternity, and now family photos!

This recent session at the Botanical Gardens in Sacramento truly reflected who they are as a couple. They incorporated mementos from their wedding, which had an "Up" theme, as well as elements from their storybook-themed baby shower. I am so incredibly grateful to have such awesome friends, and it warms my heart to meet their little one for the first time.

I already see so much of both of them in Liam; it's amazing to witness, and I can't wait to get to know them even better in the years to come!

When Stephani texted me to do this session, I was like, What do you mean? We JUST did a shoot not that long ago! Like, what do you mean it's been over three years since I last saw you?! Time FLIES.

Seeing Colton in this stage was the best thing ever. He's got a little minx smile, and he knows it! It's really fun to see him in this stage when he's figuring out what types of things he's into. My usual "Rawr like a dinosaur!" pose won't cut it anymore when he prefers to roar like a monster truck instead!

The love between Stephani & Tyson has never wavered all of these years. They both complement each other so well, and my camera can't get enough (Okay, I can't get enough. I love doing sessions like this!)

Seeing growth in a family is one of my favorite things about being a family photographer! I can't wait to get these three in front of my camera again… hopefully next time with Sashsta! (their dog :) )
